I’m George Sorrill and I love food. I’ve been thinking of starting a food blog for a long while, and today’s the day I’ve finally put pen to paper. I’m by no means an experienced chef, I’m just a rookie with a passion for food.
It all started when I was forced to cook for myself, after moving to Nottingham to start University. I was a very inexperienced cook, but I never wanted to be like your average student and live off beans on toast. I stretched out my student far too many times overdraft buying expensive and authentic ingredients for cooking, but it was worth it.
This year I started to post examples of my food on Instagram, and with this many people have asked for my recipes. All of what I cook in this blog will be my own work – but your classic, authentic dishes (such as Carbonara or Ragu alla Bolognese) will have to stay very similar – the way I like them.
Anyway I hope you enjoy having a browse – and if it inspires you to have a go yourself, I will be very humbled.
